Terms of Service

The rules for using Turbodato: the web app, the public API, the browser extension and the MCP connector for AI assistants such as Claude and ChatGPT.

1. Who we are

Turbodato (“Turbodato”, “we”, “us”) is a competitive price monitoring service operated from El Salvador 5635, Ciudad Autónoma de Buenos Aires, Argentina. Contact: santiago@turbodato.com.

These terms apply to anyone who uses the Turbodato service (“you”): the web application at app.turbodato.com, the public API, the Chrome extension and the MCP server at https://app.turbodato.com/api/mcp (together, the “Service”). By creating an account, signing in or connecting Turbodato to an AI assistant, you accept these terms. If you use the Service on behalf of a company, you accept them on its behalf and confirm you are authorized to do so.

If your organization has signed a separate agreement or order form with Turbodato, that agreement prevails over these terms where they conflict.

2. The Service

Turbodato collects prices published on publicly accessible online stores and marketplaces, matches them against the catalogue your organization provides and shows the comparison in dashboards, alerts, exports, the API, the extension and the MCP connector. We may improve, change or retire features over time. If a change materially reduces what your organization pays for, we will tell you in advance.

3. Accounts

  • Accounts are created by Turbodato or by your organization's administrators. Each account is for one person; don't share credentials.
  • You are responsible for keeping your password and API keys safe and for activity under your account. Tell us promptly at the contact address if you suspect unauthorized access.
  • Your organization's administrators decide which dashboards each user can see and can remove users at any time.
  • The Service is for professional use and is not directed at anyone under 18.

4. Plans and fees

Turbodato is a paid service. Prices, billing period and scope (number of products, sites and dashboards) are set in the proposal or order agreed with your organization. Unless agreed otherwise, fees are billed in advance and are non-refundable for the period already started. If invoices remain unpaid after notice, we may suspend access until they are settled.

5. Connecting AI assistants (MCP)

You can connect Turbodato to AI assistants that support the Model Context Protocol, such as Claude or ChatGPT. When you do:

  • The connector is read-only. It acts as your user and only returns data from the dashboards you can already see in Turbodato.
  • The data Turbodato returns is then processed by the AI provider you chose (for example Anthropic or OpenAI) under that provider's own terms and privacy policy. You are responsible for choosing to share your organization's data with that provider and for complying with your organization's policies when you do.
  • Answers, summaries and analyses are written by the AI assistant, not by Turbodato. AI assistants can misread or misstate data. Check the figures in Turbodato before relying on them for pricing decisions.
  • You can disconnect at any time from the AI assistant's settings. Usage is subject to the limits described in the MCP documentation.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • access dashboards, accounts or data you have not been authorized to access, or try to bypass authentication, permissions or rate limits;
  • resell, sublicense or give third parties access to the Service or its data outside your organization, unless agreed in writing;
  • use the Service to build a competing product, or scrape, copy or systematically extract the Service beyond the exports and API it provides;
  • interfere with the Service, overload it, or probe it for vulnerabilities without our written permission;
  • use the Service for anything unlawful, including anticompetitive conduct such as agreeing prices with competitors.

We may suspend access that breaks these rules or puts the Service or other customers at risk, and will tell you why unless the law prevents it.

7. Your data

The catalogue, products, competitor lists, alert rules and other information your organization loads into Turbodato (“Customer Data”) belong to your organization. You give us permission to use it only to provide, secure and support the Service. We don't sell it, don't use it for another customer and don't publish it in a way that can be attributed to you. We may use aggregated, anonymized usage statistics to operate and improve the Service.

How we handle personal data is described in our privacy policy and, for the MCP connector, in the MCP connector privacy policy.

8. Our intellectual property

The Service, its software, design, matching and the Turbodato brand belong to Turbodato. While your subscription is active, your organization may use the Service and the price data it shows for its own internal business purposes. Nothing in these terms transfers ownership of the Service to you.

If you send us suggestions or feedback, we may use them without obligation to you.

9. Third-party sites and prices

Prices come from third-party stores we do not control. Stores change prices, layouts and availability at any time, and a scrape can fail or a product can be matched incorrectly. We work to keep data accurate and current, but we don't guarantee that every price is complete, correct or up to date at every moment.

10. Disclaimer

To the extent the law allows, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. We don't promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that it will fit a particular purpose. Pricing decisions are yours: Turbodato provides information, not pricing advice.

11. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, Turbodato is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, lost profits or lost revenue, including losses from pricing decisions made with data from the Service or from answers produced by an AI assistant. Our total liability for any claim related to the Service is limited to the fees your organization paid us in the twelve months before the event that gave rise to the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

12. Term and termination

These terms apply while you use the Service. Your organization can stop using it according to its agreement with us. We may terminate or suspend access for serious or repeated breaches of these terms or for non-payment. When access ends, the right to use the Service ends; your organization can ask us, within 30 days, for an export of its Customer Data, and can ask us to delete it permanently as described in the privacy policy.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will update the date above and, for material changes, notify you by email or in the app before they take effect. Continuing to use the Service after that means you accept the new terms.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Argentine Republic. Any dispute will be submitted to the ordinary courts of the Ciudad Autónoma de Buenos Aires, unless mandatory law provides otherwise.
